Today is the soft opening for ORCA Coffee by Azra Hospital in Bogor.
I began this project since August 2016 from zero, like literally from the start in nothing. They prepared the site, and my team did the rest, make every shapes count. The owner is my friend whom I designed her white kitchen. And this time, I got challenging experience to enter the hospitality world.
We began to build things up in November 2016. Made the platform, built the canopy, and created the form to make the corner a beautiful kiosk. Although it rained almost everyday while we’re working, but we are grateful, the owner loves our works.
The concept is made of semi Industrial and semi Scandinavian look which are the owner’s favorites. She loves how the material’s got exposed but she also loves cleanliness of everything. That’s why we choose dominantly white for color with black and wooden color as accents.
And finally, today is the first day of ORCA Coffee. I wish the operation team a very good luck for success to make it the favorite coffee kiosk not only in the hospital, but in town. Thank you for the owner and the hospital staffs for being very helpful while we’re working on it. And especially for my team who made this happen from nothing to everything, thank you! Everybody loves it! Good luck, ORCA!
That’s all for today. We’ll see you all again soon! Thank you for reading!
Remember, think interior design, think House of Smichi!
